The HELICOIL® Tangfree Free Running thread insert is a coil thread insert for thread reinforcement and repair. It can be positioned and screwed in like a screw. Thread by thread free running, the HELICOIL® Tangfree Free Running thread insert forms a true-to-gauge internal thread which can be used on both sides for reliable high-strength screw joints.
There is no tang so there is no tang break or removal after the installation. The HELICOIL® Tangfree Free Running thread insert is particularly suited for low-strength materials.
